The main reason I don't like him is essentially the words he made up. As a kid, I read a lot to learn stuff. It might not have been conscious but that is definitely the reason for my voracious book appetite. And Dr Seuss didn't teach me anything. He made up some many words that it does little more than confuse early readers. I think that his books, though they may be advertised as for children, are actually far better suited to adults. Random factoid: he got his start drawing war posters and insecticide adverts.
So this post might be a bit shorter, I do have to get to the pasta dinner. It should be good, even if pasta was invented by the Italians. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Italians. I dislike the stereotype of the Italian- loud, gregarious, constantly eating/feeding, and very opinionated. I don't like people like that. If you're italian and none of those things, then I probably will like you.
I feel like a casserole today, lots of changes and metamorphoses going on deep inside me but all you see is a bit of colour changing on the top.
Dr. Seuss? You DON'T like Dr. Seuss? He's a part of childhood! His made up words are as fun as his made up world! Maybe you just can't appreciate it as much now that you're not a kid anymore. Children's books aren't supposed to teach anything :P except to give green eggs and ham a chance if that's what you mean...
